Born in Guadalajara, raised in Baja California he graduated from medical school at Universidad Autónoma de Guadalajara (UAG) in 2010. Afterwards, he did his residency in Ophthalmology at the oldest and one of the most prestigious ophthalmic hospitals in Latin America, with over 140 years old Fundación Hospital “Nuestra Señora de la Luz” in Mexico City, endorsed by the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM). He also did his fellowship in Anterior Segment Microsurgery in the same Institute endorsed by the UNAM, which is a subspecialty in advanced cataract surgery and high tech intraocular lens.
